2001

WEEK ONE

The month of July began with an incredible abundance of trophy sized fish.  Marlin and Giant Yellowfin were hooked every day and the general feeling is that the Yellowfin Tuna World record is going to be broken soon……..right here in the waters of the Bay of Banderas or just beyond.

The regulations for acquiring this record are tough and it is not likely that a casual charter could meet the demands of setting a world record, but the chance is always there.

Most of the action took place at La Corbeteña and El Banco and 10 hour charters were the major producers.  There was some hot inshore activity as well.  The elusive Roosters are showing up now and if anyone is interested in some light gear fun or even surf-casting, then this is the time to give it a try.
